Horrors that stand over your bed and watch you dream, that will kiss your mouth and bed with you, whittling nightmares. In the morning you will remember none of it...
There are horrors that follow you in your days. That accompany you in your sleep, in your wake—that will peak over your shoulder during times of mirth and sorrow. Horrors that stand over your bed and watch you dream, that will kiss your mouth and bed with you, whittling nightmares. In the morning you will remember none of it—you will sense nothing as these horrors drink coffee beside you, as they pat your children’s heads when you send them off to school, as they walk beside you when you cross the parking lot to your car. These horrors that will follow you and wait. Wait for the perfect time. The perfect time to shove you down a pit. And fill it with laughter.
